      First Purchase Promotion

      First purchase promotions are a great way to convert subscribers into customers on your website by offering them a first order coupon! These coupons are only valid for first time purchases only and cannot be used more than once per customer.

      To invest in the success of your business City Hive co-sponsors the following promotions with the merchant as a shared coupon. All first purchase promotions are shared 50/50 and will be shown as a credit on your monthly invoice.

      City Hive Shared Coupons

      1. 10OFF30: $10 off your first online order of $30 or more. (Must reach $30 without sale items)
      2. 10OFF50: $10 off your first online order of $50 or more. (Must reach $50 without sale items)
      3. FIRSTDELIVERY: Free delivery on your first order.
      4. DELIVNSHIP: $10 off your first delivery or shipping order.
      5. 10FIRST: 10% off your first online order limited to $10.
      Example:
      If a first time online customer uses the code 10OFF30, they would receive a $10 discount where the merchant pays $5 and City Hive pays $5. You will receive City Hive’s payment each month as a credit towards your account bill, depending on how many times a City Hive shared coupon was used.

      Activating First Purchase Promotions

      1. Begin on the Coupons page under the Promotions section of your City Hive dashboard
      2. View the available City Hive Shared Coupons, detailed above, at the top of the page under First Purchase Promotions
      3. Toggle on the offer(s) you'd like to activate. Once active, the toggle on the coupon will be yellow

      Enabling First Purchase Promotion Promo Banners

      City Hive provides promo banners for each First Purchase promotion option. To enable them, follow the steps below. 

      1. Begin on the Promo Banners page under the Marketing section of your City Hive dashboard
      2. From the dropdown at the top left select City Hive Banners
      3. Find the relevant banners for the offer(s) you've selected, and toggle it on. Once active, the toggle on the promo banner will be yellow

      Your site will take a few minutes to apply any updates, during which time the promo banner might not yet be visible. You can check the Cacheless URL, available on the Website page under the Studio section, to see if the promo banner has successfully been enabled.
