Non- Integrated Purchase Orders & Receiving

This product demo shows you how to create a purchase order efficiently for non-integrated distributors

00:00: This product demo shows you how to create a purchase order efficiently.

00:03: You'll learn to manage orders from non-integrated distributors and update inventory

00:07: accurately.

00:09: In this product demo, we're going to learn how to create a purchase order.

00:15: Now this is a non-integrated distributor, so we're going to use Southern Glazers as

00:19: the example for this one.

00:22: So right here you can see you have this little icon where you can filter by

00:26: Southern Glazers. Click that.

00:27: Now that we have Southern Glazers selected,

00:33: You can choose different products that you wish to add to a purchase order. From

00:37: here,

00:37: we would like to find maybe what's low stock.

00:44: Critical

00:46: and what's out of stock

00:47: now. One thing you'll want to see is you probably don't want to order any declining

00:51: or dead products.

00:56: You'll want to order breakout, rising, and stable products.

00:59: Then you may want to filter by how many you've sold,

01:02: so your best

01:06: sellers. We can see here for Tanqueray that we have no more on hand and no day supply,

01:10: but it is one of our best sellers,

01:13: so we'd want to add that to our cart.

01:16: What you're going to see here is how much it is per bottle and how much per case.

01:20: Let's add one case to our cart.

01:24: From here, we can come right over to our cart and preview that purchase order.

01:29: Once we create that purchase order, we're going to create it within CityHive. So you

01:33: can close that.

01:38: Close this,

01:38: and then once you receive that order from your distributor, you can go to your

01:42: purchase order section, find your order of Tanqueray,

01:45: click that, and start to receive.

01:52: Click receive.

01:53: Now

01:54: we can see here

01:55: we have our six units, but sometimes we only get five. So we can edit the item and

02:01: click five and that'll add five to our stock.

02:03: Sometimes the unit costs change

02:07: . Sometimes your total cost will change , margin

02:10: , new price

02:12: and new sale price

02:14: . So let's assume that the unit cost change from $37.50.

02:18: To $39. You're also

02:19: going to see that your margin and your price have adjusted because your cost went

02:25: up. So if

02:25: you want

02:26: to keep to your 20% margin on this product, you can do so and you're going to see

02:31: the new price. And if you

02:34: want it to round up to the 99, you can do that as well right here. Once you have

02:38: everything settled , you can commit this to your inventory by clicking commit and

02:42: commit

02:43: again. Now you've

02:44: received it, you've committed it to your inventory.

02:51: This tutorial demonstrated how to create and manage a purchase order using

02:54: CityHive, including selecting products, adjusting received quantities and costs, and

03:00: committing inventory updates.
