How to retarget customers that have previously requested to be opted into SMS marketing

  1. Begin on the Campaign tab under the Marketing section then click on "campaigns"
  2. Click(+) on the top right and select "Create SMS Campaign"
  3. Describe your campaign as "Missing SMS Double Opt-In Request"
  4. Under 'Send To' create your campaign audience
    1. Click the dropdown under field to search for and select "Tags Array"
    2. Continue to use the "Includes" operation
    3. Under 'Value' type in "missing_request_sms_optinand click enter so the tag appears in yellow 
  5. Use the template below as your message under the Body of the message or customize it to something similar
    1. context.merchant.display_name: Thanks for previously subscribing to text promotions. To opt-in and get your first offer, reply YES. Msg & data rates apply.
  6. Send a request to our support team asking to update the campaign as non-promotional so that it can send to those who are not subscribed
  7. Send the campaign once confirmed by the City Hive team

You will be billed monthly for each SMS message sent. The cost per message is 1.8 cents.

Before proceeding, ensure that you have obtained explicit consent from recipients to receive SMS messages from your business. This is often done through an opt-in process where individuals voluntarily provide their phone numbers and agree to receive messages.

Send a one-time message to all recent customers that have a phone number

  1. Begin on the Campaign tab under the your marketing section click on "campaigns"
  2. Click (+) on the top right and select "Create SMS Campaign"
  3. Describe your campaign as "Double Opt-In Request - All Customers"
  4. Under 'Send To' create your campaign audience
    1. Click the dropdown under field to search for and select "Has Phone Number"
    2. Continue to use the "Equal" operation
    3. Toggle on the value

  5. Use the template below as your message under the Body of the message or customize it to something similar

  6. Send a request to our support team asking to update the campaign as non-promotional so that it can send to those who are not subscribed
  7. Send the campaign once confirmed by the City Hive team

Please note that there is an additional cost for SMS campaigns.  Each SMS message sent incurs a charge of 1.8 cents, which will be billed to your account.
